Zakk Darryl with 2 'r's. (That's *not* a typo). My age? F#$Ł off you nosy... um, er, I mean, 31.

My name came from my father, who was probably cranked when he named me. I remember him giggling whenever he would call me by my full name (Zakk Allan Darryl). Even his buds used to laugh at it. Must have been a dare or something.

Wonder how they convinced my mom...

2. I got into MAME...

I dunno, about a year and a half ago. Played a few games, but it was a letdown without it being on a true cabinet. Shelved anything to do with emulation until I built my cabinet. Now I try to top a high score at least once a day.

3. I love playing...

.. my favorites, which are:

Asteroids Deluxe - my favourite game to play,
Ms. Pac - a favourite of everyone, and someone will always want to play me a game of it,
PacMan - a fond memory of youth.
Defender - because it's a kickass game, with too many damn buttons,
Joust - the best one-on-one drunken barndance party game.

Guess I should also add:
Space Invaders - because it was the very first arcade game my young little eyes saw.

4. I would like to say to Nicola and the MAME team...

Show up for a beer anytime. You are all honorary Godfathers to my children. Don't tell them that though, when you show up for a beer - um... it's a surprise.
