... Andreas Kohlbach, 36, living close to Frankfurt/Germany. I like most of the early 80's and late 70's arcades, like Asteriods, Donkey Kong, Defender, Elevator Action. I use DOS and Linux MAME.

2. I got into MAME...

I think I found MAME by a search engine hit while trying to find Arcade classics for downloading.

3. I love playing...

.. shooting games, mainly, like Galaga and Galaxians. Also Asterioids, if it can be considered a "shooter".

I also like platform-type games, such as Donkey Kong (and DK-junior) and Elevator Action, which I play every day.

4. I would like to say to Nicola and the MAME team...

Hey MAME team! You did a great job! MAME has completely changed my life. Something great would be missing if you hadn't created MAME. I hope you know how thankful we posters in alt.games.mame are that you did this. Keep it up, please!
