1. I am...

... Dee, in the UK (my IRC nick too!), and currently in my late 20s.

Started using computers in the approx late 70s - early 80s when we got the Atari VCS. From there, we progressed onto various other machines including the Oric (remember that?), the Speccy 48k, the CBM64, Amiga, and finally PC (first got online in about 1997).

I've also whiled away many a happy hour while I was on holiday in the New Forest trying to play the likes of Space Panic, Donkey Kong and Tron....

2. I got into MAME...

... around about 1999 (going by the CD backups I have from then!). Can't remember exactly how I found out about MAME, but I've a sneaking suspicion it was from my long-term habit of lurking unseen in Usenet newsgroups! Came across Dave's Arcade Classics (where I got my first ever ROMs), and Romulous and Remus, and Emuviews along with a few others back in the good old days.

I first came across AGM in about 2001-ish (my memory is a bit hazy...) after hanging around alt.emulators.classic-arcade on and off, liked the people there, and haven't really stopped lurking and occasionally posting since!

3. I love playing...

Atari Tetris - (not the Sega imposter) - IMHO one of the classics... One of those ones where you think you're getting good at it, then it all comes tumbling around your ears!

Puzzle Bobble 2/Bust-A-Move - addictive AND cute to boot!

Ghosts and Goblins - Fiendishly annoying at times, but good fun!

4. I would like to say to Nicola and the MAME team...

Thanks for ALL the hard work and effort and bringing back childhood memories! Thank you even more for letting people like me share it!
